Component Identification:

1. Modify stationary heater wiring harness (1) as per picture.
2. Cut branch-off line with red line (rt) from stationary heater wiring harness (1) 100 mm after the stationary heater connector sleeve (Z67).
3. Strip both ends of the red line (rt) and extend using a 400 mm long, red line (2) with a diameter of 2.5 mm via solder connector (3).
4. Route stationary heater wiring harness (1) along existing lines in the vehicle.

Component Identification:

5. Slit grommet (4) on the right of the firewall.
6. Route black, 2-pin coupling (9) (see magnified view) and black, 6-pin coupling (10) (see magnified view) of the stationary heater wiring harness from the right footwell through the grommet (4).

Route the stationary heater wiring harness through until the yellow marking aligns with the yellow markings on the on-board wiring harnesses.

7. Seal the stationary heater wiring harness at the opening for the grommet (4) with sealing compound.

8. Unclip the sealing strip (5) and place the stationary heater wiring harness (1) next to the in-vehicle wiring harness (Figure on left).
9. Route the stationary heater wiring harness (1) along existing lines from the grommet (4) further on the right side of the vehicle to the installation location of the STH heater unit (A6) (Figure, right).

10. Connect the stationary heater wiring harness (1) with black, 2-pin coupling (9) and black, 6-pin coupling (10) to the STH heater unit (A6).

11. Route stationary heater wiring harness (1) in the right footwell along existing lines in the vehicle and fix in position.
12. Fasten stationary heater connector sleeve (Z67), (see magnified view above) to existing lines with tie straps as per picture.
13. Connect brown ground line (br) of the stationary heater wiring harness (1) to ground in the right footwell (W15/1) (see lower magnified view).
14. Route red branch-off line (rt) of the stationary heater wiring harness (1) along existing lines to the center console and fix in position.
15. Plug in branch-off line with 2-pin, black coupling of the stationary heater wiring harness (1) into any plug position of the cockpit voltage distributor (CAN) connector (X30/6).

16. Route red branch-off line (rt) of stationary heater wiring harness in the left footwell along existing lines to the interior fuse box (F34) and fix in position.
17. Plug the turquoise fuse carrier (tr) in plug position 25 of the interior fuse box (F34).

20 A fuse is assigned to the fuse carrier.

18. Route stationary heater wiring harness (1) along existing lines to the right rear wheelhouse to the right rear axle electrical distributor connector (X62/33, see magnified view) and fix in position.
19. Remove the orange-colored lip from the second plug position from below out of the rear axle electrical distributor connector, right (X62/33) (is no longer required).
20. Insert blue, 4-pin coupling (50) from the stationary heater wiring harness (1) into the rear axle electrical distributor connector, right (X62/33).

21. Route stationary heater wiring harness (1) along existing lines over the wheelhouse into the right of the luggage compartment and fix in position.

22. Remove connections (61) from attached telephone/portable CTEL/STH radio remote control antenna splitter (A2/53) (picture on left).

Telephone/portable CTEL/STH radio remote control antenna splitter (A2/53) is no longer required.

23. Screw connections (61) into attached coupling (63) (picture on right).

24. Clean right side window in the area of the stationary heater antenna (60) with an appropriate cleaner.
25. Peel off protective foil and, as per picture, tightly press stationary heater antenna (60) onto the right side window.
26. Attach felt strip (65) to panel edge.
27. Route antenna line (64) as per picture along existing lines to the right wheelhouse and attach with tie straps.

Antenna line (64) has to be routed under the bracket (66).

28. Connect antenna line (64) with coupling (63) and fasten to existing lines on the right wheelhouse.
29. Fasten excess length of antenna line (64) in a circle with a diameter of at least 60 mm to existing lines.
30. Connect antenna line of stationary heater wiring harness (1) with red plastic locking to coupling (63).
31. Push STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1) onto bracket (55) until it locks in position audibly (Figure on left).

The 6-pin, black coupling of the branch-off line (57) and the antenna line (56) of the stationary heater wiring harness (1) are not connected until the STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1) has been programmed.

32. Mount bracket (55) for the STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1) on existing studs on the right wheelhouse and secure with two plastic nuts (54).
33. Attach felt strip to panel edge.

34. Clip STH switch (N72s12) into new cover of center console (60).
35. Connect black coupling of STH switch (N72s12) to lower control panel control unit (N72/) (see arrow).

36. Plug the fuel metering pump wiring harness (61) into the second plug position from below of the rear axle electrical distributor connector, right (X62/33).
37. Route fuel metering pump wiring harness (61) in the cable duct to the STH fuel metering pump (Y23) as shown in the Figure.
