GF82.60-P-2002TB CD-Player Mode, Function

CD Player mode
Audio CDs can be played back using the CD changer (A2/6), which is located in the slot of the center console under the raido control panel.

The system is controlled via the input keyboard on the radio control panel (A2) or via the multifunction steering wheel.

Only 12-cm CDs may be inserted into the CD changer (A2/6) and no 8-cm CD adapters may be used. Up to 6 CDs can be inserted.

The operating unit control signals and the audio data of the CD changer (A2/6) are transmitted via the Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST). The audio gateway control module (N93/1) prepares and amplifies the signals.

If the vehicle is equipped with an audio gateway control module (N93/1) "Sound" (Code 810), the radio control panel (A2) is to be encoded accordingly with the aid of Star Diagnosis, otherwise malfunctions may occur when playing back audio signals.

CD player mode is triggered at the operating unit by pressing the CD main function key. After placing an audio CD into the automatically retracting tray of the CD changer, the following functions are available to the user:
^ Select CD slot in changer and load CD
^ CD selection
^ Track selection
^ Searching forward/backward
^ Current playback time (of track or of CD)
^ SCAN function
The music tracks are played for 8 seconds. At the end of the CD the CD changer automatically changes into Play-Forward mode or into the mode last adjusted.
^ Random function
All the titles of a CD are played according to the random principle.
Once all the titles of a CD have been played once, the next CD is automatically loaded and the random function continues. The random function repeats itself until it is deactivated
^ Repeat function
Alternatively a track, CD or the complete CD magazine is repeated

In the "ADJUSTMENTS" menu there is also the option of choosing between the following functions:
^ normal track function
^ repeat track
^ repeat CD
^ track mix

CD title allocation function
Every CD has a permanently stored, so-called Table of Contents (TOC) entry. The Audio 20 CC uses this to detect the respective CD and can automatically name it after a title has been allocated by the user (even if the CD is inserted into another CD magazine). The TOC record additionally contains information regarding the number of titles on a CD and the CD's total playing time.
The selected CD is displayed in display field 1 (display line 1). After this, the magazine of the selected CD is displayed, provided the magazine has already been assigned an index. The number can be between 0 and 6. If a new magazine is inserted, the display field remains empty until an index is created.
