Instrument Cluster Radio Control System Settings

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles where the instrument cluster's radio control system setting does not display Station Search Using Frequency or Memory", perform the following.

1. Using STAR Diagnosis enter into the following menus:

Control Units --> Information and Communication --> Instrument Cluster With Maintenance Interval Display --> Control Unit Adaptations --> Version Coding --> National Version Coding For Vehicles Without Special Protection --> National Configuration

2. Change the National Configuration from Not Coded" to USA"

Note:
The instrument cluster will perform a self reset, which will then enable the Station Search Using Frequency or Memory" feature. Do not replace the instrument cluster or COMAND system.

Note:
The instrument cluster's radio control system settings can be accessed from the following menus. Through the instrument cluster's multifunction display, access the Vehicle" submenu via the Settings" menu. Use the Vehicle" submenu to make general vehicle settings. Press the steering wheel buttons up arrow or down arrow repeatedly until you see the message Station Search Using" displayed. Press the + or - to select the desired station selection mode. You can select "Frequency" or Memory". Reference the vehicle's owner manual for additional information.
