Component Identification:

The fuel-air mixture is further enriched via the warm-up control after start and post-start enrichment. The warm-up control compensates for the fuel which precipitates on the still cold engine parts.

An additional quantity of fuel is added to the engine by the ME-SFI [ME] control unit in line with the performance map. The injection time is extended accordingly for this purpose.

Warm-up control is dependent on:
^ Coolant temperature
^ Intake air temperature
^ Engine speed
^ Engine load
^ Correction programming with STAR DIAGNOSIS
