Engine - Air Intake Duct Not Connected to Cover Cap

CORRECT ASSEMBLY OF AIR INTAKE COVER CAP

This Service Campaign has been initiated because DCAG has determined that on certain mentioned vehicles (see VIN below) the air intake duct may not be properly connected to the cover cap.





Effective Serial Number Range

Prior to performing this Service Campaign, please check VMI in order to determine if the vehicle is involved in this campaign or if the campaign has been performed.

Please review the Affected Serial Number Range table located above, only vehicles within this range are affected by this Service Campaign

Please perform this Service Campaign the next time the affected vehicle is in the workshop for service.

Procedure





1. Ensure cover cap is properly connected (circles, Figure 1, 2) to air intake duct. If not properly connected, proceed to step 2:





2. Remove cap (A, Figure 3), properly reinstall cap (A) by first locking the upper part of cap to the upper part of the air duct (B, Figure 2), then locking the lower part of the cap to the lower part of the air duct (C).

Refer to Figure 1 for proper assembly.
