Function prerequisites:
- Circuit 15 ON
Function
When the vehicle is reversing, the rear window wiper system (WSA) actuation depends on the position selected at the combination switch (S4) for the windshield wipers.
If the reverse gear is engaged while the windshield wiper system (WSA) is switched on, the rear-end door wiper motor (M6/4) is actuated by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (10/2) as follows:
Continuous wipe
If the combination switch (S4) is in position "II" or "III" while the vehicle is reversing.
Rain sensor operation
on vehicles with code (345a) rain sensor:
If the combination switch (S4) is in position "I" (windshield ) and the vehicle is reversing, then the rear-end door wiper motor (M6/4) is actuated analog to the wiper motor for the windshield.
Cancellation conditions:
- No reverse gear signal
- Front wipers switched off
