Function
The outside mirror housings can be folded in and out electrically. The housings for the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) are moved to the garage position (mirror housing folded in) or driving position (mirror housing folded out) via the outside mirror fold-in switch (S1s2) and outside mirror fold-out switch (S1s3).

The switching states of the outside mirror fold-in switch (S1s2) and outside mirror fold-out switch (S1s3) are evaluated by the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and relayed to the CAN-B (CAN-B) as signal.

The left front door control module (N69/1) and right front door control module (N69/2) then actuates the mirror fold-in motors (M21/1m3, M21/2m3) in the left and right outside mirror housing. The mirror fold-in motors (M21/1m3, M21/2m3) are only actuated as long as the outside mirror fold-in switch (S1s2) or outside mirror fold-out switch (S1s3) are pressed.

At speeds of > 25 km/h the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) automatically move to the driving position (folded out).
