GF91.29-P-3008PP Easy Entry, Rear, Function

- with CODE (275) Electrically adjustable driver seat, steering column and outside mirrors with memory
- with CODE (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
- up to Model Year 8

Function requirements
- Circuit 15 on and associated vehicle door open or
- Circuit 15R ON
- Circuit 15 on and vehicle speed ≤ 5 km/h
- no undervoltage or overvoltage
- Front seat normalized

If the functional conditions are revoked during the procedure, the head restraint movement is completed. Furthermore, the function is only started if no abort conditions exist.

Abort conditions
- Undervoltage or overvoltage detected.
- Seat adjustment activated.
- Hall sensor of head restraint up/down motor (M27m4, M28m4) is malfunctioning.

Tilting front seat forward (example of driver seat)
Pulling the backrest release handle mechanically releases the backrest, which can then be tilted forward.
When the backrest is released, the driver seat backrest release microswitch (S91/3) is operated and the change to its applied position is read in by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1).
Then the head restraint up/down motor (M27m4) is actuated by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) and the left front head restraint moves against the lower stop to prevent a collision with the headliner when the backrest is tilted forward.
Tilting the backrest forward activates the driver seat height adjustment microswitch (S91/4).

Tilting front seat back (example of driver seat)
When the backrest that has been tilted forward is tilted back to its original position, the driver seat backrest release microswitch (S91/3) closes. The backrest is mechanically locked in the tilted-back limit position. Pushing the backrest further back operates the driver's seat height release microswitch (S91/4).

When the driver seat height release microswitch (S91/4) is operated, the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) detects whether the backrest is correctly locked and sends a signal to the instrument cluster (A1) if necessary to display an appropriate warning indicator.
When the backrest and the height adjuster have been locked, the head restraint also assumes its original starting position.
