MODEL 209.375/376/475/476, MODEL YEARS 2003 THROUGH 2004

INSTALLATION OF WIRING HARNESS ADAPTER FOR ENGINE COOLING FAN

This Service Campaign has been initiated because DCAG has determined that on certain mentioned vehicles (see VIN) a malfunction in the engine cooling fan may occur.





Effective Serial Number Range

Prior to performing this Service Campaign, please check VMI in order to determine if the vehicle is involved in this campaign or if the campaign has been performed.

Please review the Effective Serial Number Range table located above, only vehicles within this range are affected by this Service Campaign

Please perform this Service Campaign the next time the affected vehicle is in the workshop for service.

Procedure

1. Remove lower engine cover.





2. Check if engine cooling fan wire harness adapter (arrow, Figure 2) has been installed:

^ If not proceed to steps 3 - 7

^ If harness adapter is installed, reassemble in reverse order.





3. Disconnect engine wiring harness connector (arrow, Figure 1) from engine cooling fan.

4. Connect wiring harness adapter (arrow, Figure 2) between fan connector and engine wiring harness.





5. Secure wiring harness adapter (A, Figure 3) with cable ties (arrows).





6. Secure wiring harness adapter connector to engine fan shroud (arrow, Figure 4).

7. Reassemble in reverse order.
