Noise from Air Management Control System When Regulating Airflow

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the air management control system is noisy when the shutters are regulating the airflow, this is due to the lubricant for the shutter guides having been washed out. In this case, the air management control system and actuator motor should be removed as follows.

1. Remove front bumper. Refer to WIS Document AR88.20-P-2000T.

2. Remove air deflector assembly, close off the pneumatic line with a rubber cap and reinstall only the air duct. Refer to WIS Document AR20.20-P-3880T.

3. Reinstall front bumper. Refer to WIS Document AR88.20-P-2000T.

4. Recode vehicle to "Radiator shutters not installed" using DAS by following path: Control units --> Body --> Front passenger SAM --> Control unit adaptations --> Read coding and change if necessary --> Set radiator shutters to "Not installed"
