VIN Range 219405 to 380430 with Steering Wheel Heater (Code 443) Steering Wheel Heater Nonfunctional
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the heated steering wheel not functioning below temperatures of -10°C (14°F), the DC/DC converter control unit (N99) may need to be replaced.
Note:
Only use replacement DC/DC converter control unit (N99) with a status Q6 or higher.
1. Disconnect ground cable at on-board electrical system battery. Refer to WIS document AR54.10-P-0003TA.
2. Remove steering wheel heater control unit (N99). Refer to WIS document AR46.11-P-0001T.
3. Install replacement control module in reverse order.
