D. Installing the Satellite Radio Control Module
1. Remove cargo compartment floor paneling (refer to WIS: AR68.20-P-4811T).2. Remove right rear cargo compartment panel (refer to WIS: AR68.30-P-1180T).
3. Mount the SDAR control module (N 87/5, Figure 8) to the bracket (5) secure with three M5 hex nuts (arrows) included with installation kit. If equipped with audio sub-woofer (harmon kardon sound system option) proceed to next step, if not proceed to step 5. Be sure to orient the SDAR control module with respect to the bracket as seen in Figure 9.
4. Disconnect speaker connector (C, Figure 10), remove nuts (arrows) and bolt (B) securing sub-woofer (A) to vehicle, remove sub-woofer.
5. Locate power supply/MOST connector (A, Figure 11) and antenna connectors (arrows) taped to vehicle harness. Roll back foam covering to expose antenna connectors (arrows).
6. Mount control module bracket assembly (A, Figure 12) to vehicle as shown.
7. Secure lower control module bracket arm to vehicle using plastic nut (F, Figure 12) included in installation kit.
8. Install antenna dampening cable (arrow, Figure 12), connect cables and power connector:
^ Secure antenna dampening cable (arrow, Figure 12) to vehicle harness with cable ties.
^ Connect antenna dampening cable leads (B, Figure 12) to like color vehicle antenna leads (arrows, Figure 11)
^ Connect remaining dampening cable leads (D, Figure 12) to SDAR control module.
^ Connect power supply connector (C, Figure 12) to SDAR control module.
Note:
^ Secure remaining wires and cables with cable ties.
^ If equipped with harmon-kardon sound system, proceed to step 10; if not, proceed to step 11
9. Reinstall sub-woofer (A, Figure 13) then secure both sub-woofer mounting tab and upper control module bracket arm with metal nut (D). Reinstall remaining speaker nuts (arrows) and bolt (B), reconnect speaker harness (C).
10. Secure upper control module bracket arm to upper stud with metal nut (E, Figure 12).
