COMAND Head Unit Disc Drive Malfunctions at Low Temperatures

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles within the specified VIN range of COMAND head unit disc drive not functioning correctly (displaying the below characteristics) when the temperature of the head unit is below 32°F, the COMAND head unit must be replaced (only for the applicable VIN ranges listed).

^ It may not be possible to insert or eject a CD

^ If an insertion of a CD was possible, sound or display may not be available to the user as the head unit disc drive cannot recognize the CD.

^ Once the head unit temperature is above 32°F with the MOST system running, the head unit will function normally again and CD is detected and played.

Note:
This is only applicable to vehicles with VIN range specified.
