Update of Navigation Processor
In the above model vehicles if the update of navigation processor does not start automatically following insertion of navigation DVD with the latest software version, there are two possible causes I solutions please refer to the below.
Cause 1: DVD read error in navigation processor
Solution:
1. Check DVD, including visual inspection of disk for damage/dirt.
2. Check drive by inserting another DVD into drive, or check readability of the DVD by testing it in another vehicle.
Cause 2: Software error in COMAND
Solution:
1. With DVD inserted in navigation processor remove ignition key, turn off the head unit - COMAND, close all doors and wait until instrument cluster display turns off.
2. Restart system by turning ignition key to position 1 (circuit 15R).
Note:
Update progress will be shown in the COMAND display
Note:
Following navigation processor update, the MOST bus MUST be returned to idle (remove ignition key and wait until instrument cluster display turns off)!
