Travel Time, Function

Travel Time, Function

Travel time display function
The trip computer provides a travel time display
- "SINCE START" (short-distance memory) and
- "SINCE RE3ET" (long-distance memory)
The function is similar to that of a stopwatch.

The display, which varies according to unit setting (miles/kilometers) and the national version code, appears in the instrument cluster (A1) as shown in the illustrations.

Travel time "SINCE START" (short-distance memory), function
- Activate the "SINCE START" screen mask using the system selection (S110s3) and scroll (S110s1) keys on the multifunction steering wheel
- The distance traveled since the last trip odometer memory reset appears in the left-side multifunction display panel (A1p13).
- Additional information appears in the right-side multifunction display panel (A1p15):
- the average travel speed
- the elapsed time since starting
- the average fuel consumption

Travel time "SINCE RESET* (long-distance memory), function
- Use the system selection (S110s3) and scroll (S110s1) keys on the multifunction steering wheel to activate the "SINCE RESET" mask
- The distance traveled since the extended memory reset appears in the left-side multifunction display panel (A1p13).
- Additional information appears in the right-side multifunction display panel (A1p15):
- the average travel speed
- the elapsed time since the reset
- the average fuel consumption

NOTE:
- As periods are only timed with Terminal 15: ON, the instrument cluster (A1) requires information on the status of Terminal 15. The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) transmits this information to the interior CAN, where it can be accessed by the instrument cluster (A1). The time is calculated internally in the instrument cluster (A1).
- If the display of elapsed time or travel distance exceeds the maximum available number (99:59 hours or 65535 km (40959 miles)), both travel time and distance are reset automatically. This preserves the relationship between travel time and mileage.
