Function sequence when opening left front door
1 Basic prerequisite:
- Vehicle unlocked
- It is dark.

2 The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) monitors the door contact switches (S17/3, S17/4, S17/5 and S17/6) on the front and rear doors.
3 The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module recognizes via the modified switch position of the left front door contact switch (S17/3) that the left front door is opened and actuates the overhead control panel control module (N70) with the signal "left front door opened" via the data bus (1).
4 The overhead control panel control module starts checking the automatic light switch daylight sensor (B32/1) and recognizes that it is dark.
5 The overhead control panel control module triggers the automatic entrance/exit lamp actuation and switches on the left front door entrance/exit lamp (E17/3).

The entrance/exit lamp is switched off immediately
- when the door is not closed after opened after 5 min or
- when the door is closed.
