Component Identification:

The safety fuel shutoff is activated:
^ For mechanical faults in the throttle valve actuator
->The motor speed is limited to about 1400 rpm in idle 1800 rpm when driving through switching off the duel injection valves.

^ If the engine speed signal "TNA" is missing
->The ME control unit switches the fuel pump off.

^ When receiving a crash signal (from the restraint systems control unit) accompanied by triggering of airbags
->The ME control unit switches off the fuel pump and actuates fuel injection valves shortly in order to depressurize the fuel system.
