Function
The intermittent wiping function is switched on by turning the combination switch (S4) to position "I" (windshield). The front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) actuates the wiper motor (M6/1) at fixed intervals in intermittent operation.

Interruption of intermittent pause
If another wiper function is requested during an intermittent pause, this function is executed without taking the intermittent pause into consideration. After completion of this function, the intermittent pause is started again.
