2 Wiring harness for AUX socket
X39/36 Cassette player connector
X39/45 Walkman separation point






1 Unscrew bolts (1).
2 Pull the glove box (6) a little way towards the rear and slide the white, 4-pin coupling (9) of the AUX socket wiring harness (2) between the glove box (6) and the instrument panel crossmember (7) (arrow).
3 Reposition glove box (6) in instrument panel and tighten bolts (1).






4 Remove the soundproofing material at the perforated section (3) and remove the perforated section (3) at the glove box (6) with a screwdriver.






5 Install the Walkman interface (X39/45) from the AUX socket wiring harness (2) in the side of the glove box (6).
6 Protect AUX socket wiring harness (2) from chafing through in vicinity of dashboard crossmember (7) by affixing adhesive felt tape (5).






7 Counterhold Walkman interface (X39/45) on outside of glove box (6) and fully engage trim ring (4) with housing of Walkman interface (X39/45).






8 Route AUX socket wiring harness (2) along existing line in vicinity of A-pillar beneath damping mat (8) and secure with cable ties.
9 Connect white, 4-pin coupling of AUX socket wiring harness (2) to white, 4-pin plug in right front cable duct, therefore making the connection to the cassette player (X39/36).
10 Place the connection to the cassette player (X39/36) in the right front cable duct.
11 Strap down the extra length of the AUX socket wiring harness (2) inside the right front cable duct.
