Roadside assistance call (Telediagnosis, Roadside Assistance)
The telediagnosis service allows the user to get in contact with the service center, such as in the event of a problem with the vehicle. The service center can then use additional vehicle-specific data to make a remote diagnosis of the situation, and based on its findings, initiate appropriate assistance measures. The MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) is used to automatically send an SMS to the service center.

During a roadside assistance call, the following data are automatically transmitted:
- Vehicle position
- Customer identification data
- Vehicle identification data
- Status data
- Error code

The service center can also request subsequent transmission of additional vehicle status data and fault codes from the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) by SMS. After the service center has evaluated these data, it will place a call to the vehicle. In this way, the exact situation and further service steps can be discussed and agreed on by the driver and the service center.
