The fuel-air mixture is further enriched via the warm-up control after start and post-start enrichment. The warm-up control compensates for the fuel which precipitates on the still cold engine
The additional quantity of fuel is metered to the engine by the ME control unit in line with the map. The injection time is extended accordingly for this purpose.

The warm-up control is dependent on:
^ Coolant temperature
^ Boost air temperature
^ Engine speed
^ Engine load
^ Correction programming with STAR DIAGNOSIS

A Enrichment rate

a Start
b Start of cutoff of post-start enrichment
c Start of warm-up enrichment

t Time
t1 Starting mixture enrichment (duration e.g. 2 s)
t2 Post-start enrichment (duration e.g. 15 seconds at coolant temperature of 15°C)
t3 Warm-up enrichment (duration dependent on coolant temperature)
