If you encounter fault code B1680 (Fault in CAN communication with control unit RVC) in the above model vehicles during a STAR Diagnosis Short Test and cannot clear the fault code, you may disregard this error if no other fault codes are present in EIS, RVC or AAC control modules. The erroneous fault code B1680 may appear in either the EIS, RVC or AAC and is caused by the AAC control module. Future software updates of this control module will eliminate this problem. Additionally, as of 08/2004 version of STAR Diagnosis, this fault code will be removed.
