GF07.61-P-3017M ME Engine Speed Signal, Function

Component Identification:

Task
The short circuit-proof engine speed signal TNA is generated in the ME control unit from the signals supplied by the crankshaft position sensor and forwarded to other control units via the CAN data bus.

Design/function
The engine speed signal "TNA" is a square wave signal with a constant square wave pulse duty cycle. 3 pulses are output per engine revolution. If the signal from the crankshaft position sensor fails, then the signals of the camshaft Hall sensor are used as a replacement (for emergency running).
