Operating procedure
Basic requirements:
- The exterior lamp switch in the lamp switch module (S1) is in position "Headlamps ON" or "Side lights ON".
1 The exterior lamp switch (S1s1) of the light switch module (S1) is pulled out to 1st. notch position "fog lamp ON".
2 The green fog lamp indicator lamp (S1e1) on the light switch module (S1) lights and indicates actuation of the fog lamp.
3 The front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) records along with the "headlamps ON" or "standing lamp ON" position the "fog lamp ON" signal.
4 The front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) actuates the left fog lamp (E5/1) and right fog lamp (E5/2).
Main beam
Except in the national versions (United States of America) (CDN), the fog lamps and the high beam can be actuated simultaneously. In (United States of America) (CDN) versions, the actuation triggered first has priority.
