GF54.50-P-2010TX Reset, Function
Resetting the long-distance memory ("since reset"):
^ "circuit 15 ON".
^ Using the system selection button (S110s3) and scroll forward/back button (S110s1) of the multifunction steering wheel, select the display screen "since reset".
^ Keep the instrument illumination rheostat and reset button (A1r1) pressed for one second.
^ The display is reset.
Manual resetting of short-distance memory ("since start"):
^ "circuit 15 ON".
^ Select the "SINCE START" display mask (short-distance memory) using the system select pushbutton (S110s3) and the scroll forward/back pushbutton (S110s1) on the multifunction steering wheel
^ Keep the instrument illumination rheostat and reset button (A1r1) pressed for one second.
^ The display is reset.
Automatic resetting of short-distance memory ("since start"):
As the display "since start" (short-distance memory) is considered for the data from one driving cycle, the contents of the display "since start" (short-distance memory) are reset automatically.
If the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) is in position "circuit 15C" all the values of the short-distance memory are reset after approx. four hours. If, during this time, "circuit 15C" is interrupted by "circuit 15R ON" or "circuit 15 ON", the erasing rate window (four hours) starts again.
Transferring data from preceding driving cycles into short-distance memory
In many cases it may be meaningful to take over the data of the previous driving cycles into the short-distance memory, because for example the data for refueling should also be recorded during any journey interruptions. The data for the entire trip can then b stored in the long-distance memory ("since reset").
The procedure for this is as follows:
^ Using the system selection button (S110s3) and scroll forward/back button (S110s1) of the multifunction steering wheel, select the display screen "since start" (short-distance memory).
^ Start the engine.
^ The display "since start" (short-distance memory) flashes for up to 2 km/miles or 2 minutes after the engine starts.
^ When the display flashes, keep the instrument illumination rheostat and reset button (A1r1) pressed for one second.
^ The values from the previous driving cycle are incorporated in the short-distance memory.
If the display of mileage or travel time exceeds the maximum display value (40959 miles (65535 km) or 99:59 hours), then the travel time and mileage of the respective memory is reset. This preserves the relationship between travel time and mileage.
After a reset it may take as much as three miles or two minutes until the trip computer has enough data to display the fuel consumption figures correctly. During this time the national variant of the instrument cluster (A1) is displayed depending on the adjustment (kilometers/miles).
