Noises From the Area of the Belt Pulley of Compressor (Supercharger) Clutch
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of grinding or ringing noises from the area of the belt pulley of the compressor clutch at idle speed, the cause may be due to wear on the ball bearing or riveted joint of the belt pulley. In addition on vehicles equipped with Engine 113, a short squeaking noise when the compressor clutch engages may be experienced. To resolve, replace the belt pulley on Engines 112/113 and the flange on Engine 113 only. Refer to WIS document AR09.50-P-4787R.
