APPLY PRESERVATION AGENT INTO LEFT LONGITUDINAL MEMBER
This Service Campaign has been initiated because DCAG has determined that on the affected vehicles the preservation agent in the left front longitudinal member may be insufficient. Dealers will apply additional preservation agent to the left front longitudinal member in all affected vehicles at the vehicle's next workshop visit.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:
^ Please check VMI to insure the vehicle is involved and to determine if the vehicle has been previously repaired.
^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin.
Approximately 21 vehicles are affected.
Procedure
NOTE:
Refer to the MSDS for the preservation agent used in this procedure (via NetStar or the Parts Assistance Center website) for a complete description of hazards and other important safety information.
1. Remove rear section of engine compartment (under) paneling.
2. Remove stop plug (A, Figure 1) from left front longitudinal member (Figure 1).
3. Spray preservation agent into left longitudinal member opening (A, Figure 2) towards front of vehicle.
Note:
Spray approx. 200 ml.
4. Apply a small amount of preservation agent at the opening (A, Figure 2) and reinstall stop plug (A, Figure 1).

^ Please be aware that only the part number(s) referenced in the Campaign Bulletin is/are approved for use to repair the vehicle. Repairs performed using any other part(s) will not have been performed in accordance with the campaign. Accordingly, warranty claims submitted with reference to an improper part number(s) will be denied.
