Blind Spot Assist Issues Stationary Object Warning

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the "Blind Spot Assist" issuing a "stationary object warning" along with an erroneous warning when driving along crash barriers or walls, and the red triangle in the outside mirror illuminates, this may be caused by faulty recognition of wide stationary objects.

To resolve, flash the radar sensor control unit (SGR) with SDS Version 04/2009 or later. The software update desensitizes the sensor system with regard to recognizing wide stationary objects.
