Roof Drip Rails Improper Fit
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles where the roof drip rails may be loose in the center or towards the rear and may protrude above the roof paneling, the rubber clips which retain the drip rail will need to be replaced following the below procedure.
Note:
Replace all 5 clips only on the affected side(s).
1. Remove the loose drip rail using a plastic wedge starting at the rear of the rail and working forward. Carefully unclip the rail one clip at a time to avoid damage.
2. Remove the old rubber clips by un-clipping them from the rail (Figure 1).
3. Install the new mounting clips, A000 991 78 98, (Figure 2) into the roof channel at the clip mounting points (Figure 3).
4. Reinstall the drip rail and verify full engagement into the new clips.
