GF72.29-P-3013SX Power Window Raising/Lowering, Function
- up to model year 08

Component Identification:

Function requirements
^ C. 15R On
^ Power windows normalized (for automatic raising/lowering)
^ Child safety lock not active

Up to 5 min after c. 15R is switched off, the power windows can be actuated when then front doors have not been opened.

Manual raising or lowering
To manually raise or lower the window, actuate the corresponding power window switch to the arresting point in the opening or closing direction and hold it down.

Automatic raising or lowering
To automatically raise or lower the window, momentarily actuate the corresponding power window switch beyond the arresting point in the opening or closing direction.

Actuation is performed until the position recognition detects that the windows are opened or closed.

Driver switch group
All front and rear windows can be opened and closed with the driver switch group.
Actuation of one of the power window switches is read in by the left front door control unit via the front door LIN.
The left front door control unit controls the left front power window motor directly.
The other power window motors are actuated directly by the corresponding door control unit, depending on which power window switch is actuated.

Front passenger switch
Only the front passenger window can be opened or closed with the front passenger switch.
Actuation of the front passenger switch is read in, voltage-coded, by the right front door control unit which actuates the right front power window motor directly.

Left and right rear power window switches
(without code (297) Roller sun blinds in rear doors, without code (413) Panoramic sliding roof and without code (540) Electric rear window roller blind)

In each case, only the associated rear window is opened or closed by the left and right rear power window switches.
Actuation of the left or right rear power window switch is read, voltage-coded, by the corresponding rear door control unit which actuates the associated rear power window motor.

Left and right rear door power window /roller blind switch group (with code (297) Roller sun blinds in rear doors, with code (413) Panoramic sliding roof or with code (540) Electric rear window roller blind)
In each case, the associated window and the window in the other rear door can be opened and closed with the left and right rear door power window/roller blind switch group.

Actuation of the corresponding left or right rear power window and side window roller blind switch in the left or right rear door power window/roller blind switch group is read in by the corresponding rear door control unit via the rear door LIN, which actuates the associated power window motor.

On vehicles with code (297) Roller sun blinds in rear doors, the rear side roller blind is opened, if closed previously, before the window on the side in question is opened.

Function abort
^ Actuation of the excess force limitation

Child safety function
Operation from the rear control points can be locked out with the rear side windows child safety lock switch located in the driver switch group. Already performed actions are interrupted immediately by the rear power window switch when the child safety feature is activated The current status is indicated by an indicator lamp in the driver switch group.

Sequence of priority
The driver switch group has the master function. Any adjustment request by one of the other power window switches is terminated when the driver power switch group is actuated accordingly. If a control command with lower priority is still present after completion of an operation request with higher priority, the former control command is ignored.
It is first necessary for the controls to recognize non-actuation of the lower priority control command before the corresponding operation request can be performed.
