the power window motors (M10/3, M10/4, M10/5 or M10/6) are monitored by the corresponding door control unit (N69/1, N69/2, N69/3 or N69/4) in each case.
When a deceleration or stop is recognized in the area between 230 mm and approx. 3 mm of the window opening, the corresponding power window motor is cut out or the direction is reversed.
Manual closing
If the door control unit recognizes pinching, the operation is interrupted.
When a new request is present within 2 s, interruption is accomplished again. When a request is again present within 2 s after the second stop, the window is closed without excess force limiter.
Automatic closing (power window switch held down)
If the door control unit recognizes pinching, the operation is interrupted and the side window is opened approx. 20 mm. When a new request is present within 2 s, the operation is again interrupted and the window is then opened approx. 20 mm.
When a new request is recognized within 2 s, after the 2nd request, the actuation is terminated.
Automatic closing (power window switch released)
If the door control unit recognizes pinching, the operation is interrupted and the side window is opened approx. 125 mm. When a new request is present within 2 s, the operation is again interrupted and the window is then opened approx. 125 mm. When a new request is present within 2 s after the 2nd request, only manual closing is possible.
When the power windows have not been normalized, the excess force limiter is active even when the window rolls up into the upper gasket. This causes the window to reverse (open 125 mm).
If repeated within 2 s after the end of the reversing operation, the excess force limiter is switched off allowing normalization at the upper stop.
