Left or Right Front Speakers Intermittently or Permanently Inoperative








If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the front left or right speakers intermittently or permanently being inoperative, this may be caused by the upper centering pin (Figure 1) of the mirror base in the left or right mirror being too long. As a result, this longer than specified pin causes contact with the tweeter connections in the mirror triangle creating a short circuit. To remedy, shorten the upper centering pin in the left and/or right mirror triangle by approximately 3 mm.
