Outside Door Handle Sticks in Pulled Position

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the outside door handle sticking in the pulled out position on either the front or rear doors, the outside door handle may be contacting the door skin. Perform the procedure outlined below to resolve.

1. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to WIS document AR72.10-P-2400SXS (front) or AR72.12-P-24 10SX (rear).








2. Bevel the front rib of the outside door handle assembly (Figure 1 and 2) by approximately 45°.





3. Install the beveled outside door handle (Figure 3).
