Design/function
If the throttle valve is opened rapidly when accelerating, a leaner mixture is produced for a short time. An additional quantity of fuel is metered to the engine in line with the performance map. This is achieved by actuating the injection valves with additional pulses.

Acceleration enrichment is dependent on:
^ Coolant temperature
^ Load change speed (accelerator pedal speed)
^ Engine speed
^ Engine load
^ Correction programming with STAR DIAGNOSIS
