Belt Lock on Seat Belt
Seat belts with a "belt catches or locks while traveling" complaint have often been unnecessarily replaced when nothing was found upon inspection.
The emergency tensioning retractor units on the front seats are equipped with a solenoid-controlled seat belt lock system in which the belt extension can be blocked during vehicle deceleration and inclination.
