Rubbing/Rattling Noise When Opening and Closing Tilting/Sliding Roof





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a rattling/rubbing noise coming from the tilting/sliding roof area, this may be caused by friction between the rubber seal and edge of sunroof opening during operation. To resolve, apply special sliding compound lubrication oil (A000 989 36 60) to the front edge of the glass panel rubber seal (Figure 1). The special sliding compound lubrication oil is included in the Noise Damping Service Kit (A000 582 03 50).
