Water Entry into Trunk Area





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a water drip into the trunk from the area of the trunk paneling, the seal plugs (Figure 1) in the drain holes on the trunk lid may be leaky. This may allow water to enter the cavity in the trunk lid and leak back out when the lid is opened. To resolve, perform the steps below.

1. Open trunk lid.

2. Remove both seal plugs using a plastic wedge (W900 58901 6700).

3. Install new seal plug, A000 998 11 90, ensuring it is properly engaged.
