Apply Preservation Agent to Bottom Front of Both Front Doors, If Necessary

This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG has determined that the application of preservation agent to the lower area of the front doors may be incomplete. The dealer will apply additional preservation agent to the lower front doors at the next workshop visit.

Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

^ Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.

^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.

Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.

Approximately 4,992 vehicles are affected.

Procedure

1. Open both front doors and check seam seal at door fold bottom front on both front doors (Figure 1).
