GF07.61-P-4024M ME-SFI Fuel Reserve Signal, Function

Component Identification:

This signal serves provides additional information for the ME-SFI control unit for detection of combustion misfires due to fuel starvation.

The rear SAM control unit evaluates both signals from the fuel level sensor and passes on information about the fuel level via CAN "B" to the instrument cluster.
The instrument cluster passes this information over the CAN to the ME-SFI [ME] control unit.

At United States of America
If the fuel tank is filled to less than approx. 1/4 or to more than 3/4, the leak test of the fuel system is suppressed. A test for major leakage is still performed.
