GF82.20-P-2026QA Lamp Dimming, Function

The front dome lamp (N70e1) integrated in the overhead control panel control unit (N70) is switched on and off dimmed with both manual and automatic interior light actuation.
The switch-on time and switch-off time of the lamp is 1 second in each case.
The lamps are switched off automatically in accordance with the "interior light" OFF delay time adjusted in the instrument cluster (A1); the provision for adjustment of the OFF delay time is from 0 to 20 seconds in a 5 second cycle.

On vehicles with anti-theft alarm system (ATA) (code 551a) the front dome lamp (N70e1) is switched on immediately without dimming. In the event of undervoltage or overvoltage the front dome lamp (N70e1) is switched off immediately without dimming. When the correct voltage is restored, the front dome lamp (N70e1) is switched on without dimming.

The "dimming" described here only relates to the switch-on and switch-off characteristics. It must not be confused with dimming the switch and controls illumination via circuit 58d.
