Location
The rear auxiliary heating system supply unit is located at the rear in the front right wheel well.

Task
The rear auxiliary heating system supply unit provides the circulation of the coolant through the heater heat exchanger in the rear. The rear auxiliary heating system supply unit is directly actuated by the AAC [KLA] control unit (N22/1) and is also used for the implementation of the residual engine heat utilization.

Design
^ The rear auxiliary heating system supply unit consists of:
^ Circulation pump (A31/1m1)
^ Left duovalve (A31/1y1)
^ Right duovalve (A31/1y2)

Function
The duovalves are solenoid valves and control the coolant flow rate through the rear heater heat exchanger separately for the left and right sides. Closing and opening times of the duovalves depend on the set specified temperature for the rear air conditioning.
