Parking Brake Cannot Be Operated

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles where the parking brake cannot be operated via the parking brake switch (S76/15) and either of the following fault messages are displayed within the instrument cluster Parking Brake - See Operator's Manual" or Parking Brake Nonfunctional - Visit Workshop", replace the parking brake switch to resolve. Refer to WIS document AR42.20-P-0505SX.

Note:
Fault code "5700 - Check component S76/15 (electronic parking brake switch)" may be stored in the Electronic Parking Brake (EFB) control module.
