Alternator Noises Heard in Interior








If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicle that RPM dependent noises can be heard in the interior, this may be due to the ground strap of the alternator causing a mechanical vibration. To resolve, check the ground strap of the alternator and replace if necessary. If ground strap is as pictured in Figure 1, then no replacement is necessary. If the strap has insulation as shown in Figure 2 then replace.
