GF83.50-P-2015SX Rear Air Conditioning Heating Circuit, Function
- with CODE (582) Rear air conditioner
Function
The coolant pump of the engine pumps cold coolant through the engine. The coolant absorbs the engine's heat and becomes heated. The heated coolant passes through the rear air conditioning heater heat exchanger which transfers heat to the air in the interior compartment. Depending upon the coolant temperature, the coolant thermostat guides the coolant through the rear air conditioning heater heat exchanger or additionally through the radiator.
The supply to the heater heat exchanger is controlled by the rear auxiliary heating system supply unit (A31/1) via the integrated left duovalve (A31/1y1) and the right duovalve (A31/1y2).
The duovalves are actuated by the AAC [KLA] control unit (N22/1). If residual engine heat utilization is active, uniform flow of the coolant through the rear air conditioning heater heat exchanger is obtained using the circulation pump (A31/1m1) that is also integrated in the rear auxiliary heating system supply unit.
