GF80.20-P-3004R Unlock By Opening One Door, Function

Basically each door can be opened from inside, regardless of the locking function used to close the vehicle. The corresponding door is unlocked mechanically at least once.

In the following case, the central locking (CL) is actuated:
A globally unlocked vehicle is locked via
^ the 'Lock CL [ZV]' interior switch and ATA function indicator S6/5s3) or
^ the automatic locking function.

When one of the door is opened from inside, the vehicle is locked completely.

The signal from the left door contact switch (S17/3) or right door contact switch (S17/4) is transmitted to the PSE control unit (combined) to the rear SAM control unit (N10/8) A37. It then starts the unlocking procedure

Auxiliary door lock (on (United Kingdom) vehicles)
The auxiliary door lock switches off the mechanical inner actuation so that it is not possible to open a door from the inside. This prevents breaking in into the vehicle by smashing in a window and opening a door from the inside.
The auxiliary door lock is activated when the interior protection is actuated.
