Manual adjustment
A manual adjustment of the air cushion groups for the multicontour backrest is possible via switch group for right front multicontour backrest (S108)/switch group for left front multicontour backrest (S109).

The manual adjustments of the air cushions are stored in the control module for left front multicontour backrest (N32/15)/control module for right front multicontour backrest (N32/16) in a volatile memory. These values can then be stored and called up again at a later time using the memory feature in the nonvolatile memory of the front seat adjustment control module with memory, left (N32/1) and front seat adjustment control module with memory, right (N32/2).

Adjusting the shoulder area
The air cushions in the shoulder area of the seat are adjusted using the shoulder area adjustment switch (S108s4)/shoulder area adjustment switch (S109s4). When the rocker switch is pressed in the "+" ("-") direction, the backrest contour in the shoulder area changes through the filling (emptying) of the air cushions.

Maximum pressure per cushion: 300 mbar

Adjusting the lumbar area
The lumbar area of the seat is adjusted using the lumbar support adjustment switch (S108s3)/lumbar support adjustment switch (S109s3). When the cross rocker switch is pressed in the "+" ("-") direction, the backrest contour in the lumbar area changes by simultaneously filling (emptying) both cushion areas.

When the cross rocker switch is pressed in the "up arrow" direction, the air pressure increases in the upper air cushion area and decreases in the lower area.

When the cross rocker switch is pressed in the "down arrow" direction, the air pressure decreases in the upper air cushion area and increases in the lower area.

Maximum pressure per upper lumbar cushion: 150 mbar
Maximum pressure per lower lumbar cushion: 200 mbar

Adjusting the lateral support
The lateral support of the seat is adjusted using the side cushion adjustment switch (S108s2)/side cushion adjustment switch (S109s2).

When the rocker switch is pressed inward (outward) the air cushions of the left and right seat cushion side of the backrest are filled (emptied).

Maximum pressure per cushion: 500 mbar

The actual/maximum pressure values for the air cushions are input via piezo-resistive pressure sensors from the control module for left front multicontour backrest (N32/15)/control module for right front multicontour backrest (N32/16).
