AR54.30-P-6015R Remove/Install Instrument Cluster







1 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and buffer the default data from the instrument cluster (A1) in STAR DIAGNOSIS

NOTE:
- Only when replacing the instrument cluster.
- Installation: Copy the buffered default data into the new instrument cluster.

2 Remove instrument cluster cover (1)

DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from electrolytic gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury with caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-add batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

3 Disconnect ground cables from both batteries

NOTE: First the on-board electrical system battery in the trunk and then the starter battery in the engine compartment.


4 Unscrew bolts (2) from instrument cluster (A1)
5 Pull instrument cluster (A1) out of instrument panel (4)

NOTE: Until the electrical connector (3) is accessible.

6 Unlock electrical connector (3) and remove instrument cluster (A1)
7 Install in the reverse order
