GF32.50-P-4000R Active Body Control (ABC) Pressure Supply, Function

GF32.50-P-4000R Active Body Control (ABC) pressure supply, function
- with CODE (487) Active body control (ABC)
- as of 1.3.06 up to model year 08

Component Identification:

A radial piston pump is used to supply the necessary pressure. Like the power steering pump, it is part of the tandem pump and is driven by the engine via the belt drive.

The hydraulic oil is drawn out of the oil reservoir. A suction restrictor valve attached to the pump regulates the intake volume and therefore the pressure for the Active Body Control system. The oil quantity is determined on the basis of the driving situation. The oil is cooled by an oil cooler.

The pump feeds the oil to the ABC front axle valve unit, ABC rear axle valve unit, rear axle central reservoir and front axle central reservoir.

The system pressure is monitored by the ABC pressure sensor (B4/5).

The following components are located in the ABC front axle valve unit:

^ Right front suspension strut control valve (Y36/1y3)
^ Left front suspension strut control valve (Y36/1y1)
^ Left front suspension strut blocking valve (Y36/1y2)
^ Right front suspension strut blocking valve (Y36/1y4)

The following components are located in the ABC rear axle valve unit:

^ Right rear suspension strut control valve (Y36/2y3)
^ Left rear suspension strut control valve (Y36/2y1)
^ Left rear suspension strut blocking valve (Y36/2y2)
^ Right rear suspension strut blocking valve (Y36/2y4)

The valves are used to adjust the hydraulic plungers and to control the flow of oil.
