GF27.60-P-5160AHI Center Shifter Console, Component Description

GF27.60-P-5160AHI Center shifter console, component description
- TRANSMISSION 722.930

Component Identification:

Location
The floor shift is located in the center console of the vehicle.

Task
The center shifter console is the central control for changing the transmission mode, gear range and gear of the transmission.

Function
The selector lever is moved and positioned in the shift gate, which is not visible to the driver. All selector lever positions are detected by the electronic selector lever module control unit, coded and transmitted to the fully integrated transmission-control control unit (Y3/8n4) via the engine compartment CAN. (CAN-C)

In parallel to the transmission over the engine compartment-CAN, the selector lever positions "P, R, N, D" are forwarded mechanically using a shift rod to the selection range sensor (VGS) (Y3/8s1). Shift ranges "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7", up to those which the fully integrated transmission control permits transmission upshifts, can be shifted into selector lever position "D" via a lateral movement of the selector lever (touch shift).
