Noise from Roof

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a rattling noise from the roof area when the doors are slammed shut or when the vehicle is in operation, this may be caused by the bonding at the roof bows. It may be necessary to re-glue the roof bows. Follow the procedure below to resolve.

1. Lower the headliner, refer to WIS document AR68.30-P-4300CW.

2. Re-glue the roof bow by filling the joints between bow and roof with body sealant (Figure 1), use standard caulking gun.

Note:
All bonding surfaces must be free from dirt, dust, oil and grease.
